We Have Seen the Light!

In conjunction with the PA Department of Environmental Protection and PPL Energy, David A. Smith Printing has completed a total retrofit of every light fixture on our entire property. The retrofit includes 133 interior light fixtures and 6 exterior lighting systems. The upgrade from older T12 fixtures to new energy efficient T8 units will reduce our energy consumption by 8,423 kW per year. This savings in energy used equates to over 6 tons of CO2 Emissions, 3 tons of Coal Consumption, and 1.61 acres of trees planted.
